SAELA MOLE CONTROL SERVICE
Mole Control Service
Once moles make your yard their home, they set to destroying your lawn, grass and ornamental plants. Mole control is essential for maintaining a beautiful yard – you don’t want these property pests destroying what you have worked so hard to create. Feasting on insects, worms and grubs, moles destroy your lawn as they forage for food. As they burrow underground, they raise dirt mounds all across the lawn which looks unsightly and can cause those walking above to trip and fall. Don’t let moles take over your yard! Saela Pest Control is the mole exterminator you can count on to rid your yard of these pests.
That’s why store-bought repellents, poisons, and “sonic spikes” so often fail. They treat the surface, or they treat the wrong tunnel. To actually stop a mole, you have to find the run it’s using and trap it there.
Signs of a Mole Infestation
- Molehills, or mounds of dirt, found sporadically across your lawn. These larger mounds are where moles burrow deep into the ground for shelter.
- Mole tunnels, or long lines of dirt, that show where moles have been burrowing under your property while they search for food.
- Brown patches of grass and other plant death. A once healthy lawn that is marked by mole hills and tunnels that is slowly decaying is a sure sign of these uninvited property pests.

01
We read the ground
Your specialist inspects the turf for the real signals (surface tunnels, discolored trails, soft or collapsed ground) then probes with a spike or trowel to find which tunnels are actually active.
02
We trap the source
We set traps a few inches down, directly in the active tunnel. It’s then flagged and mapped so every trap is easy to check and reset. No bait spread in your yard, no poison in the soil where your kids and dog play.
03
We reset the surface
After each visit we knock the mounds and raised dirt back down. It restores the look of the lawn, and it means the next inspection is reading *new* activity, not last week’s leftovers.

Frequently asked
Mole Control FAQs
What states are moles commonly found in?
Moles are commonly found across many parts of the U.S., including Oregon, Washington, Texas, Kansas, and Tennessee. Mole activity tends to be highest in areas with moist, loose soil and plenty of ground-dwelling insects.
How can I tell if I have moles in my yard?
Moles leave raised ridges and volcano-shaped mounds in the lawn. You’ll often feel soft, uneven ground where tunnels run just under the surface.
Are moles eating my grass?
Not directly. Moles mainly eat insects and worms in the soil. The lawn damage comes from tunneling, which lifts roots and dries out grass.
Why did moles show up all of a sudden?
Moles go where the food is. If your yard has a lot of soil insects, irrigation, or soft soil, it can support more mole activity. Seasonal changes can also push moles to tunnel closer to the surface.
Do moles ever come into the house?
It’s very uncommon. Moles are built for underground life and usually stay in the yard. The main issue is lawn damage, not indoor infestation.
What’s the difference between mole damage and gopher damage?
Moles usually leave raised surface tunnels and mounds with no obvious hole in the center. Gophers tend to leave fan shaped soil mounds and can create open holes, plus they often chew plants and roots.
How long does it take to get rid of moles?
Most situations improve once the active tunnels are located and treated correctly. Some yards resolve quickly, while others take longer if moles are moving through from nearby areas or if conditions stay favorable.
Do sonic stakes or vibration repellents work for moles?
Results are inconsistent. In many yards, they don’t provide dependable control, especially when food sources are strong and soil conditions are favorable.
What can I do to reduce mole activity long-term?
Keeping the yard less inviting helps, but control usually requires targeting the moles already present. Managing excessive irrigation, improving drainage, and reducing soil insect hotspots can reduce long-term pressure.
